The Jessica Alba Action Movie Flop That Dominated Netflix’s Charts

Whether audiences might be pouring hours into “Trigger Warning” worldwide, those scoring the film on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes all have the same thing to say — it’s a mostly weak B-movie with some flashes of unfortunately stereotypical characterization, poorly choreographed and paced fight scenes, and bad writing all called out by viewers of the film. “The desert scenes are nice. Someone needs to throat punch the writers,” read a memorable example comment by Paul W on Rotten Tomatoes.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie stands at a 15% audience approval score, while IMDb’s audience score is at 4.6 out of 10. There’s always room for improvement, and the film’s day has just dawned, so who knows where those numbers will end up in the future? In any event, it seems Alba has officially survived the action flop that was “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” to reclaim her career. Time will tell if she and Netflix keep making hits together.
