Doctor Strange 2’s Sam Raimi May Direct 3 Huge Marvel Movies
Having made a name for himself with the Evil Dead movies, we’ve already seen Raimi bring his horror sensibilities to the MCU. With “Multiverse of Madness,” he was able to expand on the family-friendly MCU while also exploring some of its creepier aspects. In a franchise often criticized for relying too heavily on quips and one-liners, an injection of Raimi’s signature brand of macabre could be what the MCU needs to cap off Phase Six.
Even before “Multiverse of Madness,” Raimi proved he could bring comic book characters to life with the well-received Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy. His “Doctor Strange” sequel only confirmed that.
And this isn’t the first time rumors have circulated that Marvel was looking at Raimi to wrap up the current era of the MCU. While nothing is confirmed, the director’s track record makes him a clear candidate to put a bow on the Multiverse Saga. Plus, with Maguire’s Peter Parker now officially MCU canon, this could even offer a chance for a long-awaited reunion between the actor and filmmaker.
